Lender Forums

A while back I posted a link to lendingclubtalk.com, a new forum for Lending Club lenders. However, many people have e-mailed me to let me know that the owners have closed down that site. I tried to get in touch with some people who post there to see if they knew what was going on, but haven't heard anything back. So, I've taken that link down and replaced it with a new one for Wiseclerk's Lending Club forum. Wiseclerk has been involved the p2p lending scene for about as long as it's existed, so I'm sure he'll do a great job with keeping those forums running!

I've been completely negligent in keeping the forums here updated and free of spam, so I've decided to remove them from the site. They are still accessible if you have the old page bookmarked, but they are no longer linked from the home page. If you enjoyed the forums and would still like the opportunity to share ideas with other lenders, I would encourage you to head over to lendingclubtalk.com!
Lending Club Data Feed Is Back

An astute user pointed out that I never posted an update about the data feed being back. I should have posted something a while back about this, but if you haven't noticed, the Lending Club data feed is back up and running and stats are again being updated on this site. I was a bit worried about what they might remove, but it turns out the only things removed from the feed were related to borrower employment and hometown (which I don't really use on this site for anything anyways).
New Data Is No Longer Available

Due to borrower privacy concerns, Lending Club has temporarily disabled the data feed used by this site to provide our reports and statistics. The data on this site should be up to date through Feb. 25 2009, but new data beyond that point is no longer available. Once the data feed is restored, things should return to normal, but there is no ETA for that yet. For more information, see this post on the LendingClubStats.com forum.
Borrower Map

If you ever wondered where Lending Club borrowers are coming from, check out the new borrower map screen. You can see which states are bringing in the most borrowers, how many borrowers are from each state, etc. Thanks to Lending Club lender masterrwong for the great idea!
Interview On Lending Club Blog

I recently did an interview with Rob over at Lending Club that they have just posted on the Lending Club blog. Check it out if you'd like to learn a little more about me, my background, and my two cents about the p2p lending market.
Regarding recent changes to the site, I've made a couple changes to the loan search tool so that it will now show defaulted loans as well. I also changed the sorting for the loan status field to behave a bit more intuitively. If you click on that column it will now sort from "most late" to "least late" instead of simply in alphabetical order like it did before.

Lending Club is Back!

Lending Club is back, and after a six-month hiatus, I'm back to work on LendingClubStats.com as well. To start things off, I've added a new report to show late loans by age. Now that we have a bit more history behind these loans, this report should help a bit with evaluating late rates for the various credit grades.
Loan Search Tool

You can now use the Loan Search tool to look through current and previous Lending Club loans to see how they are doing. I'll be expanding on that tool more in the next couple weeks to offer additional data and analysis as well.
Improved Listing Browser

Lending Club recently made some changes to their data exports that has allowed me to enhance the listing browser significantly. The data there should now be updated daily, making it much more useful for browsing active listings. Also, I've added a lot more search criteria to the screen as well to allow you to filter down the listings even better than on the Lending Club site itself. If you have suggestions for additional search criteria you'd like to see, just let me know!
Improved Loans By Status Chart

I've made some improvements to the loans by status chart today. I am now showing the distribution by dollar amount rather than by loan count as I was before. I've also added a table below it that shows the actual numbers behind the chart and how the loan statuses break down depending on the criteria you use.
I'm expecting to make some significant improvements to the listing browser as well over the next week or so. Expect to see lots more search criteria as well as daily updates to the data instead of the weekly updates we have now.
New Loan Application Growth Chart

The new loan application growth chart shows listing growth at Lending Club (slightly different than loan growth) but more interestingly, it also shows funding success rates for Lending Club loans. This can give you an idea of how many Lending Club borrowers are funded successfully.
New Interest Rate History Chart

I've just added a new interest rate history chart to the stats area of the site. This should give you a feel for what the average interest rates are across the credit grades and how that has changed over time. I've also made a few small improvements to the listing browser. For instance, it will now display the full loan description when you hover over the title. Great for getting a quick peek at the description without having to click through on each loan request.
